Secondly, from the syntactic level, syntactic complexity is analyzed, covering length of production unit, degree of sentence sophistication, amount of subordination, amount of coordination and specific phrasal structure. And the significant difference is not found in both the control group and experimental group. The main reason is that the students focus less on the syntax and some of them feel that it is difficult to learn in a short term. Besides, students feel that continuation task is boring and they are unwilling to complete carefully, which influence their writing performance.
